Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This policy is a general template and is being reviewed. It will be updated before launch.
This Privacy Policy explains how TendLead (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit tendlead.com or contact us. It covers this marketing website only. Businesses that install the TendLead chatbot on their own websites are responsible for their own privacy notices to their visitors.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: when you request a demo or use our contact form we collect your name, business name, email, phone number (optional), website, industry or topic, and any message you send.
- Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies: we use one essential session cookie to protect our demo form from spam. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.
How we use information
- To respond to your demo request and communicate with you about TendLead.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
TendLead WordPress plugin (TendLead Lite)
The free TendLead Lite plugin stores chats and leads only in the website owner’s own WordPress database. It sends nothing to us unless the site administrator takes one of these actions:
- Feedback form: when an administrator clicks “Send feedback” in the plugin settings, we receive the message, the feedback type, the optional reply email they typed and the plugin version.
- Deactivation survey (optional): only if the administrator picks a reason and clicks “Submit & deactivate” do we receive that reason, their optional comment and the plugin version. “Skip & deactivate” sends nothing.
- Anonymous usage data (opt-in, off by default): only if the administrator clicks “Allow” or ticks the setting, the plugin sends a weekly ping with a one-way hashed site identifier, the plugin version, the WordPress and PHP versions and whether the plugin is active. It never includes the site address, visitor chats, leads or personal data. It can be turned off at any time in TendLead → Settings, and stops when the plugin is removed.
We use this information only to support users and improve the plugin. Feedback is kept as long as needed to respond and plan improvements; usage pings are kept in aggregate form. You can ask us to delete feedback you sent via our contact page.
The optional TendLead Pro add-on can send visitor messages to Google Gemini or OpenAI if the site owner enables AI mode with their own API key; that processing is between the site owner and that provider.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run this website and our business, such as web hosting and email providers, under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
Retention
We keep demo-request and contact-form information only as long as needed to respond and maintain our business records, then delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including California under the CCPA/CPRA, you may have the right to know, access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). To make a request, contact us through our contact page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
This website is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted storage, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when it last changed.
